“The most silent of places can be disturbed by a scream or a whisper. It is a mystery how and why we form dialogues. New ideas are developed through dialogue and people get to learn new things about each other. Some dialogues leave us exhausted from how much we do not know. Dialogues stay inside our minds for years.

“Perhaps the echoes of voices do not flow as well in the landscape, city, under the sky and on sea, these places can vanish words, bringing isolated words through the thin space. Our own experiences come back when somehow we remember.

“Painting is hearing and feeling the dialogue coming from our inside. We have our own interpretations of dialogues. Dialogue exists in sounds and gestures. All over the world dialogues are expressed in different dialects. The sounds may differ but the meanings are shared.”

“Gellir tarfu ar y lleoedd tawelaf gan waedd neu sibrydiad. Mae'n ddirgelwch sut a phaham y crewn ddeialogau. Datblygir syniadau newydd drwy ddeialogau a dysga pobl bethau newydd am ei gilydd.

“Gall rhai deialogau ein llethu wrth i ni sylweddoli cynlleied a ddeallwn. Erys deialogau yn ein meddyliau am flynyddoedd.

“Efallai nad yw adleisiau'n llifo mor esmwyth yn y tirwedd, y ddinas, yn yr awyr ac ar y mor. Gall y lleoedd hyn beri i eiriau ddiflannu a dwyn gyda nhw eiriau ar wasgar drwy'r gofod tenau. Daw ein profiadau yn ol wrth i ni rywsut gofio. Clywed a theimlo'r ddeialog tu mewn yw paentio. Mae gennym ein hesboniadau ein hunain o ddeialogau. Mae deialog yn bodoli mewn synau ac amneidiau. Dros y byd cyfleir deialogau gan wahanol dafodieithoedd. Gall y synau fod yn rhai gwahanol ond gall yr ystyron gael eu rhannu gydag eraill”

Statement: English

“My work aims to fuse both representation and abstraction, to paint representations from memory and life. I want to paint beautiful paintings from the spirit that are not judgemental or moralistic. I aim to paint universal paintings from which people from all backgrounds can get something.

“The colours I use are how I feel at the time. My work is free. I do not try and force the painting to do what I want, but follow where the paint takes me. The painting is finished when it looks beautiful to me. I respond to birds in flight, animals' lives and people. I respond to light and dark. I love the night and day. I love society and solitude.”

“Gan fod pobl yn aros gartref fwy nag erioed o'r blaen edrychaf ar y cartref yn y gweithiau hyn. Wrth edrych ar y gofod cartrefol lle'r wyf wedi fy lleoli fy hunan gallaf ddychmygu faint all ddigwydd mewn stafell a'r effaith y mae'r gofod yn ei gael ar ffigyrau.”

“From quiet areas of the city of Cardiff I have observed and drawn busy places nearby, and have allowed my experience of living in the city to come through in the fictional figures of these paintings.”

“The picture has a life. A window onto another world of mountains, houses, towns, people and animals in a fantasy, and I bring new paintings to show here in Lorient which is a perfect reality to be in, as a place where many artists have been and have drawn on as inspiration. I celebrate these artists in my own 'anything goes' way, in a tribute to the artists and people here. I have enthusiastically made a series based on how dear little things in the world help to change things. I want to share these emotional qualities from the expressionistic colours I use. I like the quality of paint in my work as much as I love clarity and brilliance. I want you to be seduced with illumination.”

“Dwi wedi bod yn eiddgar i wneyd cyfres o lluniau ar y pethau bach ac syd all pethau bach helpu newid pethau i mi. Rwf eiso mynegi fy teimladau trwy lliwiau expresiwnistic. Rwyf yn hoff o'r paent ei hun yn yr lluniau cyngymaint a faint dwi'n hoffi pethau yn glir ac disglair dwi eisio chi gweld golau.

“Mae na fywyd fewn y llunniau. Fatha ffenestri ar mynyddoedd, tai, trefydd, pobl ac anifeiliad sef nature sydd yn reality perfaith dwi'n dechrau o dwi'n gwneud gwaith unigol ac yn cymeryd ysbrydoliaeth artist ag byddai yn clodfori celf.”
